You may receive an error message that Read Aloud isn’t available because something is preventing it from starting. How could this error happen? Probably, this error is caused by corrupted add-ins, out-of-date Microsoft Office, or a language package missing from your computer. Method 1: Run Microsoft Word in Safe Mode

Method 3: Update Microsoft Word

Step 1: Open Microsoft Word normally.

Step 2: Choose File from the top toolbar.
